BREAKING: Second recount called in Swinford

Returning Officer John Condon has acceded to a request for a second recount in the Swinford LEA.

There is still just one vote between Neil Cruise (1,637) and John Sheahan (1,636) following the recount which began this morning.

Mr Condon said it was an extremely close race and accepted a request from Sheahan for a second recount, which will begin at 8.45pm.
