St Joseph’s Secondary School, Foxford are national champions after beating Colaiste Oiriall in a dramatic thriller after extra time.

The Mayo school triumphed in the FAI Schools Senior ‘B’ Girls National Cup final for Under 20, Small Schools this afternoon at the grounds of Athlone Town.

The Monaghan side took the lead just before half time and Foxford had to wait until the closing minutes of the second half before Mila Soroparra hammered home the equaliser.

Four minutes into the second half of extra time, Soroparra netted her second of the day to claim victory for Foxford.
