Gardai have thanked the public for their assistance in the search for a woman who had been reported missing earlier today. They have confirmed that the woman in her 50s has been found safe and well.

An appeal had been issued earlier by Gardai for information from road users who had travelled on the road between Ballyhaunis and Ballaghaderreen on the woman who had been missing around the Gorthaganny area.
