Gardai are appealing for information on a woman who people may have seen walking the road from Ballyhaunis to Ballaghaderreen early this morning (Sunday).

They are especially concerned with the timeframe of between 5am and 8am.

Gardai are appealing for help in locating the missing woman in the Gorthaganny area and are seeking information from anyone who was driving on the R293 Ballyhaunis to Ballaghaderreen road at the time in question and may have spotted a woman walking.

Gardai have said that the woman was not wearing any footwear and seemed disorientated.
