The home of KEUFC is set to be transformed this spring with the club planning to build a full-size EUFA-certified 4G all-weather pitch.

The project will commence in April 2023 to be ready for the 2023/24 season and the club has secured funding of €200,000 for the project under the Sligo LEADER Partnership Company. The project has been awarded to SIS pitches who will work with engineers OMD Design to bring the project to fruition.

The club has experienced huge growth levels in terms of membership and teams and this is putting an incredible strain on the existing grass pitch. In order to continue its growth, especially for girls, the club’s executive has taken the decision to upgrade from grass to all-weather.

To successfully complete the project, the club will need assistance from the local community in terms of fundraising and finance with further details to follow.
