Homecomings will take place later today for Connacht’s two World Youth medallists.

Firstly, the town of Gort will welcome home World Gold Medallist Clíona D’Arcy following her dominance of the 81+ category at the World Youth Boxing Championships in Spain.

The homecoming will take place at 7pm this evening.

Then at 8.30pm, there will be a homecoming for Westport’s Laura Moran in St Anne’s Boxing Club. Laura claimed Bronze at the same competition.

Team Ireland arrived home from Spain last night with a record breaking six medals, one Gold and five Bronze.

Ireland finished 9th on the medal table.
