Families who have experienced bereavement have been invited to a remembrance service after the event was organised by Sligo University Hospital.
It is hoped the event will offer support to parents and guardians in the region who lost a baby or child or who suffered pregnancy loss.
The remembrance will take place at St Anne’s Small Chapel, Cranmore on Monday, November 21at 8pm and it will also be streamed online.

Maria White, an End-of-Life Coordinator at the hospital stressed that “infant and pregnancy loss can be a very lonely grief and it has a lifelong impact on parents and families”.
“The service will be a reflection and remembrance to support those people who have experienced or been touched by this grief.
“We hope it will be an opportunity for parents and families to come together and share their grief in an understanding and empathetic environment,” she told Midwest News.
