A motorcyclist was rushed to hospital on Sunday afternoon after a collision between a car and his motorbike.
The man in his 20s is currently being treated for his injuries at University Hospital Galway.
A stretch of road in Bellaghy, near the Mayo-Sligo border on the N17 was closed for several hours and traffic was diverted as Garda Forensic Collision Investigators examined the scene.
A Garda spokesman said: “Gardaí attended a two vehicle RTC (road traffic collision) between a car and motorbike, that occurred at Sandyhill, Charlestown, at approximately 3pm on Sunday 30th October.
“A male in his 20s (motorcyclist) was taken to University Hospital Galway to be treated for his injuries. No other injuries were reported.”
