Two students from Co Mayo will address Seanad Éireann today.

Foróige members Caitlinn Thompson, St Mary’s Secondary School and Eoin Forkan, St Patrick’s College, Lacken Cross, will speak at a Public Consultation on the constitutional future of the island of Ireland.

The meeting, which will be held in the Seanad Chamber, will be in two parts. This morning session (11am-1pm) will focus on listening to and engaging with young people including Caitlinn and Eoin and experts.

They will outline their hopes, aspirations, and priorities in respect of the constitutional future of the island of Ireland and how public policy can impact their futures.

“Proud day for Mayo to have two of our own delivering such important speeches,” Minister Dara Calleary wrote in a social media post.
