Mayo man John Reilly will be doing a dip-a-day in October in order to fundraise for playground equipment for Westport Educate Together National School (WETNS).
WETNS is a new school that opened in September 2019. The school recently moved to a new premises at Westport Woods at the Quay in Westport, and have a brand new playground area, which is need of playground equipment for the children to enjoy.
Each day in October the Kilmeena GAA manager will be taking a dip into cold water at different locations across Westport and Kilmeena.
“Please keep an eye on my social media as I will be uploading videos and encouraging anyone who wishes to join me on any particular day to take part with me,” John wrote on his Facebook page.
The event starts Saturday, October 1 and the final day of the event will be held on Monday, October 31 at the Point in Westport.
