Motorists in Castlebar are being warned of an oil spillage outside the town.

Cllr Ger Deere took to social media to alert the general public that there is an oil spillage on the Newport Road from the Snugboro junction towards the town.

Mayo County Council have signage in place and are doing what they can to make the road safe.

Motorists are advised to use the route with caution and slow down approaching the Newport Road.
