Gardaí and emergency services are attending the scene of a road traffic incident in South Galway this morning.

A vehicle caught fire on the M18 Southbound, near Gort, at around 7.45am.

No injuries have been reported and the road remained open to traffic, according to Midwest Radio.

Gardaí say investigations into the matter are ongoing.
