Three people were taken to hospital following a road traffic collision on the N5 at the Charlestown junction, near the N17 flyover, earlier today.

Their injuries are not described as life threatening, according to Midwest Radio.

Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of the two vehicle collision that occurred at about 11.30am this morning.

Gardai say the road has since been cleared and traffic is running as normal.
