It has been confirmed this afternoon that Ballinrobe Community School has had initial project approval for a significant extension.

Fine Gael TD Alan Dillon confirmed the news saying: “I am pleased to learn that Ballinrobe CS has had initial project approval for an extension comprising of the following:

4 x MCR

1 x Set Room

1 x Music Room

1 x Multimedia Room

1 x Textile Room

3 x Science Lab’s, 1 x science Prep area

1 x Art Room

1 x Home Economics Room

1x Technology  Room, and

1 x Technology Pref Area

4 Classroom  SEN Base

1x 11.5m2 User assisted WC, Conversion of Lab into 2 SET Rooms, Conversion of 3 labs into 1 lab, Conversion of Technology Room into 1 lab and Conversion of 1 lab into lab  prep Area & Purchase of 1 x 100m2 SEN for September 23”.

Deputy Dillon added: “This is fantastic news for the popular Ballinrobe School. I wish Principal William Culkeen, the Board of Management, staff and students every continued success for the future.
