A Status Yellow rain warning has been issued for Mayo by Met Eireann.

Counties Galway and Kerry will also be impacted.

The warning comes into effect at 1pm today and will be in place until 10am on Tuesday.

There will be spells of heavy rain at times, heaviest in coastal and mountainous areas with localised flooding and isolated thunderstorms possible.
