Three Sligo footballers have been nominated on the GAA.ie Tailteann Cup Team of the Week.

The Yeats County lost 0-20 to 1-14 to Cavan in yesterday’s semi-final in Croke Park.

Aidan Devaney was selected in goal, while Darragh Cummins was chosen at centre half-back with Pat Spillane Jr in midfield.

Spillane was nominated for Footballer of the Week alongside Cavan’s Gearóid McKiernan and Westmeath’s John Heslin.

The St Jude’s clubman kicked 0-2 from play in an all-action display for Tony McEntee’s men.
