Mayo’s Covid-19 Testing Centre at Breaffy House Resort in Castlebar will move to Mayo Community Living (MCL), formerly known as Aras Attracta, in Swinford from this Friday, June 24.

Testing will cease in Breaffy this Thursday with reduced opening hours from 10am to 1pm.

Testing will commence in Unit 1, MCL, Swinford on Friday, from 12noon to 3pm and from 10am to 3pm going forward.

As in MCL, the HSE will maintain a seven day service across testing sites which will ensure that there is an accessible service available to facilitate those who want to get a PCR test as soon as possible after they develop symptoms of COVID-19. The move is part of the HSE’s plan to transition to smaller testing centres sites.

The Mayo Covid-19 Testing Centre moved from MacHale Park, Castlebar to Breaffy House Resort at the end of January last.  A total of almost 15,000 tests have been carried out in that time.
