Crews are on site in Achill this afternoon repairing a burst watermain which is impacting on water supply in Derreens, Cloughmore and Currane.

Irish Water and Mayo County Council are working to restore water supply to over 100 properties in the Derreens, Cloughmore and Currane area as quickly as possible.

Repairs are expected to be complete by 10pm tonight. Typically, it takes two to three hours following repairs for normal supply to restore to all customers affected by an unplanned outage.
