Westport Triathlon takes place tomorrow with 250 competitors swimming, cycling and running around the Quay and West Road/Greenway.

Organisers say they expect some delays to traffic at Westport Quay from 8am- 1pm and runners and bikes on the road from 9:30am-1pm.

Particular areas expected to be busy are:
Quay area
Towers – Quay Road (closed)
Helm Junction (two-way to the Point)
Belclare Junction
Murrisk
Bertra turn off
Louisburgh – Corrib Oil area

Race registration opens this evening from 5.30-8.30pm at Westport Town Hall.
