A Mayo native will captain the Republic of Ireland Men’s team in this weekend’s Six Nations Cup in Scotland.

Martin Heneghan, from Roundfort, will lead a team of David Concannon, Ciaran Teehan, Mark Cullen and Dylan Powell in the tournament held in the Normandy Hotel in Renfrew near Glasgow.

Ireland are in Group One with the Netherlands and Wales.

Action will get underway tomorrow, with the tournament set to conclude on Sunday.

The Ladies team of Robyn Byrne (captain), Katie Sheldon and Caroline Breen are also in action. They are in Group One with England and Northern Ireland.
