Gardaí have launched an investigation following the discovery of a body of a woman in her 70s at a property in Ballymote, Co Sligo yesterday afternoon.

Her body has been removed to Sligo University Hospital.

Gardaí say the results of a post-mortem will determine the course of the investigation.
