Mayo senior ladies manager Michael Moyles has named an unchanged line-up for his side’s clash against fierce rivals Galway in Tuam Stadium this Sunday.

Last time out, Mayo hammered Westmeath 7-22 to 1-12 in the NUI Galway Air Dome in Bekan with Maria Reilly (two) Shauna Howley, Sinéad Cafferky, Sinéad Walsh, Laura Moran and Ava Keane among the goals in a perfect start to 2022 for the home side.

Moyles has announced his starting line-up for a tougher test this time out with Davitts’ Éilis Ronayne captaining the side.

Sunday’s game throws-in at 2pm.

Mayo (v Galway): Aisling Tarpey (Foxrock-Cabinteely); Éilis Ronayne (captain, Davitts), Sherin El Massry (Westport), Saoirse Lally (Westport); Tamara O’Connor (Cill Chomáin), Fiona McHale (Carnacon), Nicola Hession (Hollymount); Sinéad Cafferky (Kilmovee Shamrocks), Aoife Geraghty (Westport); Sarah Mulvihill Knockmore), Lisa Cafferky (Kilmovee Shamrocks), Shauna Howley (Knockmore); Rachel Byrnes (Burrishoole), Ciara Whyte (Kilmoremoy), Maria Reilly (Kiltane).

Meanwhile, Galway have handed starts to Fabienne Cooney and Linda Booth for this one, with Shauna Brennan and Kate Slevin (both started for the Irish U19 soccer team today) dropping to the bench.
