Moy Villa have announced that former Ballina Town manager and player Mick Duffy as the club’s new manager.

The Attymass outfit took to social media in recent days to reveal that Duffy will take the reins from Hugh Langan, who guided them to back-to-back promotions in the past two seasons.

While manager of Ballina Town, Mick Duffy catapulted the club back to the top of the Mayo Football League, after a barren spell of five years without silverware. During his tenure, which ended in late 2019, he won five trophies including a Super League.

The club released the following statement regarding the appointment; “Moy Villa Football Club are pleased to announce Mick Duffy as the manager of the club. Mick brings with him a plethora of silverware and a fantastic managerial record. An exciting new era for the club begins.”
