A former public house in Killala is set to auction this Friday. The Tower Bar was a popular local pub in the north Mayo area, located on Market Street in the town.

It will go under the hammer with a guide price of €60,000.

The premises comprise a former public house with overhead accommodation, extending to approximately 289 square metres, both of which are vacant. It will require extensive refurbishment and a 7-day publicans license is not included.

The auction is being held by online residential and commercial property company Bid X1. Bidding opens at 10am on Friday, December 10.

Other properties in the county up for auction include a derelict two-bedroom cottage in Breaghwy, Castlebar with a guide price of €45,000, a two-bedroom apartment in Foxford with a guide price of €95,000 and a semi-detached four-bedroom apartment in Claremorris with a guide price of €115,000.
