Councillor Tom Connolly has been informed today that the contract to construct a new bridge at Lisduff, Claremorris has been awarded to BAM Ireland. This news has been confirmed by the Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII).

Councillor Tom Connolly stated: “I am very pleased that the contract has been awarded to construct a new bridge at Lisduff, Claremorris. Work will commence in early 2022. The bridge will open in 2023”.

“This is welcome news for this area. I believe this work will be strongly welcomed by everyone in the locality. It will hopefully make this section of the road safer” concluded Councillor Tom Connolly.
