The Castle Late Night Venue in Westport has opted to close following the advice of the Irish government. As part of enhanced Covid measures announced by the Government on Tuesday, pubs, restaurants and nightclubs will have to close by 12am, with all customers vacating the premises by that time.
The Castle released the following statement on their social media account this morning: “Following the advice of the Irish Government announcement we have made the unfortunate decision to close the Castle late Night Venue.”
“Given the current circumstances, we feel this is the correct decision for the health and wellbeing of everyone that would be in attendance.”
“It is unfortunate and may come as an inconvenience however these precautions are necessary to ensure we don’t put anyone at any undue risk. We hope to see you all again in the new year.”
