Former Kiltimagh/Knock United footballer Roisin Molloy has been nominated for the SSE Airtricity Women’s National League Player of the Month award for October.

Molloy, who currently plays with Athlone Town, earned the nomination after scoring two goals in three games throughout the month of October. Her first came at home to Cork City and her second came over the weekend as she netted the only goal of the game as Athlone beat DLR Waves 1-0.

She faces some tough competition for the award with Ellen Molloy (Wexford Youths), Noelle Murray (Shelbourne), Jessie Stapleton (Shelbourne), Kylie Murphy (Wexford Youths) and Sadhbh Doyle (Peamount United) also nominated.

The winner will be announced this week.

Molloy is a relatively new addition to the squad in Athlone, having signed in March of this year.
