The Castle Late Night Venue in Westport has announced that it will officially reopen for the first time in over 19 months.

Following a government announcement on Thursday, the venue revealed its plans for the Bank Holiday weekend which will see it open to patrons over-18 tonight, Saturday and Sunday.

The events will be ticket only. Tickets must be purchased in advance and cannot be purchased at the door.

They announced that prior to buying a ticket, patrons must hold a Covid Pass with photo ID, they must hold an age card and wear face masks as required.

Tickets went on sale last night at 9pm on and more information can be found on the Castle Late Night Venue Facebook page.

Organisers have said they are extremely excited to welcome back their customers after a prolonged period of closure.

“After 590 nights of waiting, the Castle Late Night Venue is officially open. The government has given nightclubs the Green Light to go go go!”
