Rory Best has officially passed the halfway mark on his Miles 2 Mayo challenge. Rory is currently walking an epic 180 miles from the therapeutic short break facility, Daisy Lodge in Co. Down to the site of a new short break centre in Co. Mayo.

The former Ireland rugby captain has completed over 110 miles and counting with the current fundraising total currently over €372,000 for the Daisy Lodge in Cong.

The past few days have seen rugby superstars like Tommy Bowe and Jacob Stockdale joining Rory to offer their support. Chef Neven Maguire also caught up with Rory in Fermanagh, providing a fabulous lunch at MacNean House and Restaurant.

Rory still has some miles left to go but Cong in County Mayo is well within his sights. You can help push Rory on and provide some much needed encouragement in the form of a donation by texting RORY to 50300 to donate €4 or by donating to Rory’s Justgiving page: https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/rorysmiles2mayoie
