Residents of Ballina’s Rockwell area will experience a water outage this morning due to a mains burst.
Irish Water, working in partnership with Mayo County Council, have a crew on site and traffic management is in place while the essential works are being carried out.
Sean Higgins, Asset Operations Lead for Irish Water said: “It’s likely water supply will be off until 2pm today but it may take 2-3 hours for normal supply to return”.

“Irish Water understands the inconvenience to customers when their water supply is affected and we would like to thank the public for their patience and cooperation while this unplanned outage is attended to,” he said.

Irish Water’s customer care helpline is open 24/7 on 1800 278 278 and customers can also contact us on Twitter @IWCare with any queries. For updates please visit the Water Supply Updates section of the Irish Water website.
