Down survived a nervy closing quarter before holding out for a one-point win against Westmeath in this Division 2 North clash in Mullingar.

Kildare 2-18 Laois 1-8

Kildare came into this Division 2 clash facing relegation trouble but they left O’Moore Park riding high after a 13-point win over Laois.

Kilkenny 2-27 Wexford 0-23

Kilkenny continued their good form in ideal conditions today, recording a comfortable victory over Wexford in this re-fixed tie.
