Kilmovee 5 and 10k is going online for the second year running.

No matter where in the world you are, you can run, jog, or walk in the event, which takes place between March 28 and Easter Saturday, April 3 in aid of Mayo Roscommon Hospice Foundation and Kilmovee Shamrocks GAA Club. You can register for the event at PopUp Races and receive a custom medal. The Michael McDonnell Memorial Shield for teachers and students to represent their school or college is also up for grabs.

The event began 11 years ago and has raised €80,000 for the Hospice Foundation.

“There’s nothing we want more than to see 500+ of you running or walking through the parish of Kilmovee and offering you our legendary hospitality but we hope this opportunity will allow our friends all over the world to participate and help us continue the fantastic work our volunteers do each year but give them a day off,” said race director John Roddy.

“With the continuing rollout of the vaccine, we desperately hope that next year we will see you all here in Kilmovee and sampling our hospitality and atmosphere in person.”
