A quantity of high-end beauty products were taken during the burglary of a Mayo pharmacy last night.

An Garda Siochana is currently questioning two people who are in custody in connection with the incident.

The burglary took place at Golden’s Pharmacy in Westport just before midnight last night, Tuesday, February 16.

A man was arrested near the scene shortly afterwards and a female was also subsequently arrested.

Both have been taken to Castlebar Garda Station where they can be detained for up to 24 hours under section four of the Criminal Justice Act.
