Irish Water, working in partnership with Mayo County Council, is carrying out essential works to secure the water supply for customers in Ballina this Sunday (February 14).

These works will be carried out safely while adhering to current Level 5 COVID-19 restrictions.

Water mains replacement

The company says customers on Tone Street and Garden Street will be without water while works are carried out between 8am and 2pm.

Customers on Abbey Street, Bonniconlon Road (including Bunree and Greenhills Estates) and Church Street will experience low pressure at this time.

It may take 2-3 hours for normal water supply to return to all customers but it is important to continue to follow the HSE guidance on hand-washing, Irish Water states.

Irish Water and Mayo County Council understands the inconvenience when an outage occurs and thanks customers for their patience while maintenance is carried out.

Further information is available from the Irish Water customer care helpline on 1850 278 278 or the @IWCare Twitter handle.
