Michael Moyles has been appointed as the new manager of the Mayo ladies senior football team. The Crossmolina clubman was ratified by the Mayo LGFA County Board on Saturday evening.

Moyles is a former Crossmolina Deel Rovers and Mayo senior footballer and has built up a strong coaching resume in recent years. He previously managed the Crossmolina senior team and the Mayo juniors, coached the Leitrim senior and under-20 team, and coached the Knockmore senior team that won Division 1 of the Mayo senior league in 2019.

He also previously coached the Mayo ladies in 2015.

Included in Moyles’ backroom team will be Aidan McLoughlin from Swinford, in as a selector and administrator, and selectors Tom Carney from Ballinrobe and Marita McDonald from Castlebar Mitchels.

Announcing the new appointment this evening, Mayo LGFA said: “We would like to take this opportunity to wish Michael and all his backroom team the very best of luck for the 2021 season.”
