Peter Leahy has stepped down from the role of manager of the Mayo ladies senior football team after three seasons in charge of the team.

Leahy was appointed to the role in November 2017, prior to which he was in charge of the Westmeath intermediate team.

During his time at the helm of the Mayo ladies team, they reached the All-Ireland semi-final in 2019 where they lost to Galway.

His next step in sport is already clear, as Leahy has been named on the Meath U20 football team management set-up which will be led by Bernard Flynn, with Graham Reilly, Graham Geraghty, Robbie Brennan and Shane Supple also part of the management team.
