IT Sligo will host open days like no other on Friday and Saturday, November 20 and 21.

Students and parents will be assisted to demystify the CAO application process while also getting an insight into academic life on campus all from the safety and comfort of their own homes.

With Level 5 restrictions in place, the IT Sligo open day has moved to a virtual but no less informative experience.

Marketing officer Glenda Jackson said the planned open day events offer a great opportunity to get a taste of lectures, students’ life and to chat with the team at IT Sligo which offers courses in almost every discipline from level 6 to level 10 PhD.

Guidance on the CAO process and choosing the best course will be provided by Donnchadh O’Mahony from O’Mahony Careers and there will be information on grant applications under the SUSI system.

Special guest will be Dr Eddie Murphy, clinical psychologist from Operation Transformation who will discuss mental wellbeing.

Ms Jackson said that progress with Covid-19 vaccine development means college may well operate as normal from next September:

“This event will help guide students no matter where they plan on going to college.”

You can access the virtual open days via on November 20 and 21.
