It has been said that the festive season doesn’t start until the iconic Coca-Cola truck takes to the road.

However, this year, due to the current Covid-19 restrictions, the famous rig will not be travelling through our towns and villages.

Over the past number of years, spectators have flocked to Ballina and Ballindine to have their picture taken with the truck while soaking up a festive atmosphere with seasonal music and at some of its locations, Santa was also known to drop in to spread some Christmas magic.

For the past nine years, the truck has travelled the length and breadth of the country while also supporting charity partners such as St Vincent DePaul.

This year we will just have to wait for the now iconic Christmas ad to begin the festive season.
