St Colman’s College in Claremorris will celebrate its 75th anniversary this year.

The famous school was established in August 1945 and despite Covid-19 restrictions, is hoping to mark the anniversary in some small way.

The staff and management are asking people who have had any association with the college, either as past-pupils, former teachers and staff, parents’ associations, friends and associates to reminisce and think about your links to St Colman’s. If you have any thoughts or ideas about what you think would be appropriate, then they would love to hear from you.

The school will be organising a few events over the coming months to acknowledge and celebrate their past while looking ahead to the future. The college has seen thousands of people pass through its doors, many of whom have made their mark in society, and they can all proudly claim to be alumni of St Colman’s College.

The school would love to see photos or video footage you might have, perhaps they relate to great historic sporting occasions, social occasions or alumni gatherings. The plan is to collate and publish them so that as many friends of St Colman’s family as possible can see them.

If you, or someone you know, would like to share memories of days gone by, please send them to [email protected]
