Mark Moran was named the TG4 Man of the Match for his performance against Galway at Tuam Stadium this afternoon.

Moran, who plays his club football for Westport, scored 1-2 and also played in Conor Loftus for the Crossmolina forward’s goal, which was Mayo’s third of the match.

It was a dream debut for the forward, who may well have played his way into contention for the clash with Tyrone next weekend.

David McBrien also made his debut for Mayo, putting in a good shift at full-back, despite most of the action taking place at the other end of the field.
