A popular South Mayo café and delicatessen is to close its doors.
Butler&Byrne in Cong announced the sad news on social media on Wednesday. The business has been at the forefront of the food scene in the picturesque village for the past seven years.
The owners said the decision was a ‘difficult’ one ‘but due to the current climate and faced with an uncertain future we feel this is the right decision for our family.’
They thanked their many loyal customers and the great friends they have made along the way.
Butler&Byrne is among a number of food-based businesses in the county that have closed in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic.
