A heartwarming video of a Liverpool fan realising he is part of a portrait of their 2019/2020 Premier League winning team has gone viral and has now been watched over a million times.
Artist Niall O’Loughlin shared this video on his Twitter page on Saturday of Ballina man Fergal Birrane opening a birthday gift from his parents.
Fergal, who has Down Syndrome, is a massive Liverpool fan and has been watching Jurgen Klopp’s team conquer the Premier League this season.
Niall O’Loughlin painted a brilliant caricature painting of Liverpool’s first ever Premier League winners as a 26th birthday present for Fergal, who was absolutely thrilled to see himself painted as part of the sketch standing in between his heroes Mohamed Salah and Jurgen Klopp.
The official Liverpool Twitter reached out to show their appreciation for Fergal.
The man behind the painting, Niall O’Loughlin said: “I never in a million years thought when I posted this yesterday that in less than 24hrs it would have over a million views and an endorsement from Liverpool to say Fergal is thrilled is an understatement!”
Absolutely brilliant 😁♥️ #YNWA
