In the region of 50 properties in Ballina are currently without water as Mayo County Council and Irish Water work to repair a burst water main. i

Householders in Bachelors Walk, Arbuckle Row and Castle Row, and the surrounding areas, have all seen their water supply impacted as a result of the burst. A statement from Irish Water has confirmed that approximately 50 houses are affected by this unplanned outage.

It’s understood that the repairs are unlikely to be completed before 12 noon on Friday and that it could be a further two or three hours after that when some customers have a full supply restored, while water returns to the network.
