Ireland West Airport Knock has announced that it is to reopen and resume flight operations from Wednesday, July 1. The airport has been closed since the beginning of the Covid-19 lockdown in late March.
Flights from the airport will resume with Ryanair providing routes to Alicante, Barcelona-Girona (from August), Faro, Malaga, London Luton and Stansted, Liverpool, Bristol and East Midlands initially.
A statement released by the airport this afternoon said that management is currently putting in place a number of new measures to ensure passengers’ journeys through Ireland West continue to be safe and pleasant. Further details of the new protocols at the airport will be released next week.
“We look forward to welcoming you back to the airport when you’re ready to travel next – we’ve really missed you,” concluded the statement.
