The search for a missing five year old on Lough Mask resumed at 5am this morning.
Locals boats were joined on the water at first light by the Gráinne Úaile Sub Aqua Club, Mayo Search and Rescue and Lough Mask Search and Rescue.
Divers were in the water shortly afterwards and the Garda Water Unit is expected on the lake at 9am.
Inland Fisheries have also joined the search.
The boy was playing on the shoreline at Treen, Tourmakeady with his siblings yesterday evening when tragedy struck.
It’s understood a gust of wind blew the inflatable he was on further out into the water.
The youngster is from the area and was playing close to his home when the incident occurred.
Gardaí received a report that he was missing at 6.30pm and searches began immediately.
