There have been no new cases of Covid-19 reported in Mayo today, with the total number of cases recorded in the county since the start of the pandemic remaining at 571. Mayo has recorded new cases only twice in the eight days since last Saturday.

There have been 12 new cases of the virus reported in Roscommon, bringing its tally to 333. There have been two new cases in Galway, where the tally now stands at 478. The tallies in Sligo and Leitrim remain unchanged at 129 cases and 83 cases respectively.

The total number of confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Connacht is 1,594, with over 1,100 of these estimated to have now recovered.

Nationally, two more people with Covid-19 have died, bringing the total number of deaths in Ireland to 1,653.

As of midnight on Saturday, May 30, 66 new cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed to the HPSC, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 24,990. 

The HSE is working to identify any contacts the patients may have had to prevent further spread.
