McDonald’s in Castlebar hopes to re-open its drive-through facilities early next month.
McDonald’s has reopened six of its restaurants in Dublin but only as drive-throughs. The company plans to open all of its drive-through outlets across the country by the start of June.
Martin Cramp, who operates the Castlebar branch of the fast-food chain, said they hope to re-open during the first two weeks of next month.
McDonald’s sole Mayo outlet has been closed since March 21. The restaurant is currently putting in place all the necessary safety measures to ensure staff and customers can comply with social distancing.
“We’re just looking forward to welcoming everyone back, our customers and our staff and seeing everyone again,” said Mr Cramp.
