Organisations and charities throughout Mayo are being encouraged to apply for a once off grant from a new Covid-19 Stability Fund.
The Fund is specifically focused on providing immediate, short-term cash flow to groups who provide offer services to those most vulnerable in society, like health and social care (including addiction, disability and mental health), child and family services, domestic/sexual/gender based violence, housing/homelessness, community services and community education.
Some €35million has been available through the Department of Rural and Community Development whose minister, Michael Ring TD, says eligible organisations in Mayo should engage with the Stability Fund which is open for applications from today.
“Our community and voluntary organisations, charities and social enterprises in Mayo do fantastic work to support those most in need. This has never been more apparent than during the current crisis. This Stability Fund will assist charities, social enterprises and community and voluntary organisations to weather the crisis and allow them to maintain their valuable services,” said Minister Ring.
