Someone is €500,000 richer today following confirmation that a winning Plus ticket in Tuesday’s EuroMillions draw was sold earlier in the day at the Easons store on Main Street, Castlebar. But for someone in Connacht, perhaps even in Mayo, the news could be about to get unimaginably better after it was announced that the winning ticket of the EuroMillions jackpot worth €17,000,000 was also sold in the province.
The National Lottery is appealing to EuroMillions players throughout Connacht to check their tickets to see if they have won this life-changing prize.
The winning numbers are: 24, 26, 32, 43, 46 and the Lucky Star numbers are 06 and 10.
“With a jackpot win of this amount, it is important that the National Lottery takes some time to inform the winning retailer and of course to give the winning ticketholder the time and space they need to let this amazing win to sink in so we will announce the county and the location of the store where this golden ticket was sold in the coming days,” said a National Lottery spokesperson.
Mayo shops have sold two of the fourteen previous Irish EuroMillions jackpots, with €15 million claimed on a ticket sold in Castlebar in April 2014 and more recently, a syndicate won an eye-watering €29 million jackpot having bought a ticket in the Garryduff XL Store in Castlebar in July 2017.
