The event will take place in the Great National Hotel, Ballina from 7-9pm and is geared at making the CAO process easier, regardless of which college is of interest to you.

This event affords prospective students of all ages an opportunity to access all of the details they need in advance of the first CAO deadline on January 20, 2020.

IT Sligo’s marketing and student recruitment manager, Rosie Gilleece, pointed out that evolution in business and industry are changing the employment landscape which means students need to carefully consider their career paths.

Next Monday’s information night will help parents support their child through the CAO process by explaining the CAO process and how to apply; the cost of going to college and the grants and funding available; the learning and personal support available to IT Sligo students; tips on the transition to college and job prospects for IT Sligo graduates across all sectors.

There will also be an opportunity to meet lecturing staff from science, engineering and design, business and social sciences to learn more about the courses on offer and apprenticeship opportunities.

Each participant will receive a take-home pack with further information and meet representatives from local ETB, PLC (Post Leaving Certificate) providers, credit union and bank.
